Today, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my food and recipe-consulting business. Claire Tansey’s Kitchen specializes in everything to do with food and recipes, from testing and development to cooking classes, consulting and spokespersonship.
I started my food career cooking in fine-dining restaurants, eventually transitioning to recipe development and writing. After four years as Chef of the President’s Choice product development kitchen, contributing to countless beloved and award-winning products, I shifted gears to become the Food Editor at House & Home magazine, Canada’s premiere design, decorating and lifestyle brand. In 2010 I was named Food Director for Chatelaine and became a regular guest expert on Cityline. Now I’m focusing on inspiring home cooks to have fun in the kitchen and eat great food.
I’m known best for my easy, reliable and delicious recipes, and my fun segments on Cityline. I also know food inside and out – after 20 years in the business I can make almost anything taste good, and likely make a terrible food pun at the same time! I know audiences, what they have in their pantries and what gets them excited about food and cooking, and I know media and marketing, how the landscape operates and how to get a creative edge.
